I support this petition. There is no point evaluating the aspirants on such an unfair & non-uniform platform. There were complete mess @ various test centres and many students suffered due to the glitches while many of them were benefittd w/ extra time, cheating etc.
Can anyone tell me what kind of competitive exam was that where neither the integrity of the questions were taken care of nor the decorum of uniformity of conducting the exam was maintaned.
What better reasons IIMs are looking for for considering the paper-pencil retest for this year.

I support this petition. I have waited a whole year to appear for this exam and prepared for over 4 months. The sanctity of the CAT has been violated, the CAT was respected, a benchmark among aptitude tests taken in India and it has become a joke this year. The 2 and a half hours of this exam may well be the most important of a person's life and the IIMs have made a mockery of people's aspiration and their lives!

CAT 2009 was unfair, non uniform and chaotic.
I had prepared for a year now and I cannot let my preparations go to drain like this.
I am surprised why IIMs still not taking responsibility of failed CAT 2009. Is their ego bigger than the future of the CAT aspirants?? Why are IIMs not apologising for the trauma that CAT students have gone through this year and provide an immediate solution with fair and uniform paper pencil test to all this year. What kind of democracy is this where people like us ,educated and disciplined, keep writing petitions & letters to the directors who openly ignore whereas people who turn violent(burn buses, ransack shops & force banths Or if someone goes on indefinite hunger strike) are not only listened but their demands are met ? My fellow Indians I gurantee you had there been a case where one of the test centers were ransacked CAT would have been withdrawn the very next day and the \"govt.\" would have come into action. What a shame, are we being punished not being like them ?? Please do not mistake me for a person in support of such non sense and oppose to computerised exam. Actually I appreciated the bold step but the IIMs and prometric were ill prepared and they must take the responsibility of the failure. I know it would be done better next year. But we cannot ruin our one year just because of the experimentation. Future of so many students solely depend on their decision. This is high time they announce a fair paper pencil test.
