Piracy is the killer of the art. Artists and inventors make a living creating things, and in turn create means of livings for many others. By pirating their content we are robbing them of not just the cost of the content, but we are also demotivating anyone who wishes to make some monetary profit creating something new. Copying is not the highest form of flattery.
So please pledge to refrain from it. We can start by paying up for the albums we listen and by renting out the movies we watch instead of downloading them for free over internet.

I support this petition. Strongly oppose people downloading music from the internet as this will ultimately lead to the downfall of the music industry.

I support this petition. because lot of artists hard work and their passion has been degraded by every incident of piracy
the physical piracy and interney piracy not only have the impact on common man but also it has lot of impact on producers to theater boy who work for the movie
the govt should react and the main reason of piracy should be understood and steps must be taken to avoid piracy throughout the country

I find it ironic that all the people that download music and movies are the ones that want to be rockstars and movie stars.

This needs to stop. People need to understand that these artists deserve to be paid for their hard work. You may as well walk into a music store, grab a few CD's and walk out again.
