Secularity in Practice

In the changing times, we have seen higher level of communal tensions than before. Also terrorists and anti social elements are spreading hatred amongst people. We need to be pro-active in strengthening our secular status in this light.

Government should remove any discrimination on the basis of religion and caste, like different laws and policies - Hindu/Parsee/ Muslim laws, petmitting various religious law boards to exist, religion specific spendings, rath yatra, amarnath yatra, etc. and reservations based on caste. Lobbying for international support to bring the concerned criminals to justice will go a long way in extradition and conviction of criminals.

We request government to activate the whole machinery in a systematic way instead of making a few rules here and there and making hollow propaganda. Political parties are also requested to facilitate actions in this direction rather than fighting amongst themselves.
