I support this petition and strongly condemn Karunanidhi family business group ruling innocent people in the name of democracy. Indian democratic system has been a good ground for practicing dynastic politics and goondaism. What has been going on in Tamil Nadu is the rule of nepotism and clear family business. It is unfortunate for people to elect people as MP who does not attend Parliament to represent his people, cannot make statement to express voice of people and their need. If hooligans and business-minded people are elected as people’s representatives to the State Assembly and the Parliament, that is what happens. They attack Vice Chancellors even without giving minimum respect for his academic qualification and they suspend a good IAS officer Mr. C.Umashankar for daring Karunanidhi’s relatives and family business.

Union Home Minister, P.Chidambaram on Sunday(01 Aug 2010) said Congress cannot emerge as a principal party without support of the Dalits in the country and said whenever it was without major Dalit leaders, atrocities against the community had raised its head.
"We all want Congress to become a principal party in India, especially Tamil Nadu. But that cannot be achieved without the support of Dalits," he said at a function here to mark the joining of expelled BSP leader K Selvam and his supporters in Congress.
"Dalits constitute a major share in the population and if they are rejected and their rights denied, there is no point in India being an independent nation", he said.
"Whenever Congress digressed from focussing on Dalit issues or when Dalit leaders left the party, atrocities against Dalits had raised its head. This is a fact.
To make India powerful and prosperous, we need Dalits' support," the Home Minister declared.
