Petitioning: Political Parties

Searching for congress party leaders, you might actually land up on sites of its main rival, BJP party leaders' websites. BJP is populating search results on leading search engines using paid links. Typically some featured links are reserved for paid advertisements; that adspace is like internet's real-estate lent out to a bidder for placing their advertisements.

In this strategy devised by the infotech cell of the saffron party to lure away net surfers otherwise heading for websites of the Congress party or its leaders, they are putting links to their own party leaders' webpages with very catchy lines.

In a fair fight all parties should just put up their policies, practices, past results, future agenda, etc. on the table and let the electorate decide. Tricking a few websurfers here or there might not turn into more votes for a party but the opposite might happen. If they lose the faith of public by indulging in borderline methods of attracting vote bank, they might actually end up losing it.

BJP or for that matter all political parties are requested to fight fair and on the basis of their ideologies, work and future potential instead of short term tactics.
