It seems our banking institutions have no uniformed approach with huge disparities in exit fees.
We have to stand together on this issue as these institutions have led the country into these dark times.

I agree with this petition, it is a disgrace the way the banks are treating their loyal customers who are bailing them out of their mess!!!!

Just like Eithne below, I am a single girl who was forced into a FIVE year fixed mortgage with Haven Mortgages affilliated with EBS and now have still FOUR years left on this fixed rate. Now paying €400 extra each month than if I were on a variable rate. We the taxpayers are bailing out the banks now is their time to give us something back!!!!!

If they can bail out the banks they can surely help us out indirectly.

It is absolute disgrace. Banks can be bailed out at our expense. I am on a fixed rate for 3 years - I am single and paying €1,300 per month - it would cost me €16,000 to go onto a variable rate. I am with Haven Mortgages affiliated to EBS.

I support this petition. I have a fixed mortgage with ICS Building Society. I am fixed for another 4 years at 6.05%!! To get out of this it would cost us almost €30,000
