I support this petition. Nothing is being done people are out of work and paying way too much interest because of fixed rate mortgages, bail out the banks but not the families struggling to pay bills

I support this petition. I am a first time buyer and have 2 years left on my fixed rate mortgage. It's so expensive, and deeply upsetting when you hear of other people's mortgages going down.

I fully support this petition and furthermore I support everything that P. Cummins said too.
We need to take positive action now! It is only going to get worse for us all if we don't DO something about these banks and the arbitrary decisions they're making to FORCE us to pay up more than we can. The majority of us, like m

The Banks are effectively degrading the people of Ireland across the board.
We all need to rise up and take our power back from these unscrupulous fat cats at the top both in banks and in the Government.
Why have we lost our sense of outrage???
Why don\\\'t we all simply stop paying out exhorbitant and self crippling mortgage repayments???
This is extortion in its extreme.
When the masses rise up in protest and start exercising our civil rights to have a roof over our heads, only then will we be in a position to take back control of our lives and stop living in fear and deep anxiety.
The banks, building societies and lenders have taken our power away for far too long! This is our time to demonstrate that we (the people of Ireland) will no longer be dictated to by unfair and unscrupulous methods by a mere handful of greedy lenders.
I support this petition and I support a protest march to the banks and to the Government !!

There is a bigger scandal than exit fees. In late 2006 and during 2007 many financial institutions forced people to take 5 yr fixed rate interest only mortgages on properties that they could not afford by normal mortgage standards, effectively giving them a rope to hang themselves with. Some lenders even forced their own staff to take 5 yr fixed no interest at rates between 5-6.5%.

I support this petition. It's a disgrace we get no relief what so ever from the low interest rates. I have another 2 years and 4 months left on on my fixed mortgage. The way the government is leading this country is very disheartening.
